Shadows Photo Magazine app for iPhone and iPad

What lies within the darkness or is it just emptiness? Photographs are a play of light and shadows and I want to bring out that play to the viewers. I want my viewers to embrace the darkness and realize the beauty of the dark. The light will show you what’s there but it will be the shadows that will bring wonder. The light can also be described as the lightning while the black can be described as the thunder, hopefully resulting in a great spectacle. When I first started photography I really had no clue in what direction I wanted to go. I was actually just trying it out to see if I would enjoy it. It turns out that I loved it and I would photograph everything I could. This is probably why I still photograph all kinds of subjects. I would say I have no certain interest of subject matter. I enjoy photojournalism, using models, still life and anything else that involves photography. Photographing all kinds of subjects I think helps keep me going and challenging myself. I do however have an interest in creating deep shadows no matter what the subject is. Thus that is where my photography has evolved. When I first started I was fascinated by the color and light, eventually as I kept photographing I started to realize that I wasn’t actually doing what I wanted. I’ve always been a fan of dark artwork. I would say even the stories I read and the music I listen to are all in that style. I feel it was just a matter of time before it transpired into my photography.
